Stimulating learning and ultimately helping people to grow is a a very worthy endevour.

I have been using Dropbox since is beta days and thought I was getting the most out of the service. This article is a really good reminder that there is often so much more you can do with software and services if you are willing to invest some time in learning. I particularly like the following tip:

28 Give meeting participants iPads, and sync all of those tablets to the same Dropbox folder. You can then distribute meeting agendas and background materials instantly to everyone at the same time.

Even though the article was written by a Mac user all of the recommendations can be used by Windows and even Linux users.

I find this statistic very interesting since Apple or Mac has never been considered and enterprise platform. Another interesting fact is how many people are bringing an iOS device like an iPad or iPhone into their work setting on their own. The notion of bringing your own device (BYOD) into an enterprise setting was not even considered two to three years ago. I think it will be safe to speculate that BYOD will not only be the primary model with mobile devices in the business setting but also in Education. I can speak first hand with respect to the plans at ACU and the BYOD model will more than likely be the dominant model in 2012.
