I have been reading about the importance of sleep lately and after a relatively poor nights sleep and feeling horrible this morning I have decided to test out the 90 Minute rule methodology. One of the most important factors for effective learning is enough sleep so this simply methodology could have a significant difference.
I will be using the website sleeptiming.com to help me determine just when I need to go to sleep.
The above video is based on Richard Wiseman’s book Night School
Stay tuned for results of my experiment.
Let me know how this works out. I think I naturally follow this type of sleep schedule. I always wake up 3 hrs after falling asleep and then every hour and a half after that. I can very often get just 3 hrs of sleep a night and feel good the whole day, its those times I get 4 or 5 hrs that I am more tired. Seems like 7.5 is the best for me which is what the timer says is best.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been to consistent with this. When I do get it right I do feel more refreshed and can get going faster in the morning. The challenge is getting consistent.
