This was a powerful message for me.
Recently I was forced to address some extremely painful memories from my early childhood. My mental state went into victim mode fueled by doubt, anger and resentment. We too often doubt what we can achieve by negative self talk. I have read a lot into how to shift this thinking/belief system. This video really summarizes all of that research into a concise action. I will NEVER again stop at “Never”. “Not yet” is not merely vocabulary that I will instill into my students learning. It is something I want to live for myself starting today.
Thanks.
We too often take for granted how powerful our self-talk is. Shifting from “never” to “not yet” is so simple and effective. The challenge is to keep up the self-talk.
